🐶⚠️ AFTER RIDGLAN, ACTIVISTS ARE TURNING THEIR ATTENTION TO A MUCH LARGER FACILITY.
Animal rights activist Wayne Hsiung has released a public plan focused on Marshall BioResources (MBR) in North Rose, New York, a major breeder of animals used in laboratory research.
Hsiung, who is currently facing criminal charges related to actions taken during the Ridglan Farms rescue campaign, argues that the movement to reform animal testing should not stop with one facility.
According to animal welfare advocates, MBR is one of the largest suppliers of research animals in the United States, providing dogs and other animals for laboratory use.
Supporters of reform point to reports, investigations, and footage they say raise serious ethical concerns about the use of animals in scientific testing. They argue that advances in technology are creating alternatives that could reduce reliance on animal experimentation while still supporting scientific progress.
Hsiung's campaign calls for:
🐾 Increased public awareness
🐾 Legislative reform
🐾 Greater transparency in animal research
🐾 Expanded use of non-animal testing methods
🐾 Rescue and rehoming opportunities for animals currently in laboratory systems
The announcement comes as public debate over animal testing continues to grow, fueled by recent attention surrounding the rescue of beagles from Ridglan Farms and broader discussions about the future of biomedical research.
Supporters of animal research maintain that certain forms of testing continue to play a role in medical and scientific development, while critics argue that newer technologies can increasingly replace the need for animal models.
Whatever one's position, the conversation is expanding beyond a single facility and into a larger national discussion about science, ethics, transparency, and animal welfare.
For advocates, the question is no longer just what happened at Ridglan.
It's what comes next. 🐾❤️

Pharma giant Merck, which previously was implicated in injecting Ridlgan beagles with rabies, is STILL buying dogs from Ridglan as recently as 5/18.
30 pups were purchased and sent to a Merck facility in Kansas. This is corporate criminality, and it must be stopped.
May the future belong to painters, potters, woodworkers, seamstresses, storytellers, bakers, gardeners, and people who still make things with their hands.
It's all very abstract until you look at one. Just one. And imagine what she's going through after 7 years in this cage.
This is why we had to break them out.
