The Assyrian Aid Society of Canada invites you to join us at the Iraqi Pavilion at the @Carassauga Festival of Cultures, hosted by The Iraqi Canadian Society, as we proudly showcase the Indigenous Assyrians of Iraq.
We are excited to announce that the talented artists, Bassam Al Bazi and Andy Zurna, will perform the traditional dahula and zurna, as well as Assyrian dance performances will be presented by Ashur Dance Group.
Our martyrs are the foundation of our history, and their selflessness and sacrifices will never be forgotten. Today and every day, we will remember and honour them.
Today marks the 111th anniversary of the Seyfo Genocide. In 1915, hundreds of thousands of Armenians, Assyrians and Greeks perished at the hands of the Ottoman Empire and Kurdish tribes.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited the CN Tower lighting in honour of Assyrian New Year 6776! Attendees travelled from many cities and brought flags to show their pride and celebrate 6776 years of existence.
