@ChicagoContrar1 Always makes me laugh when democrats attack republicans for affordability when blue states are universally more unaffordable than red states. The mental gymnastics is incredible.
@Khantomm Some of us just want peace, why is that so hard to comprehend. Assyrians have shed enough blood, we need to live peacefully with our neighbors in the homeland.
@CanOzel64571@ANZHELA_YAN Even if the numbers aren’t exact, there is plenty of documentation supporting the fact that the Turkish government killed harmless civilians. Turkey will argue that they fought their enemies, but they were killing innocent civilians, not soldiers.
A reminder for everyone: From 1913–1923, the Ottoman Empire—current Turkey—carried out genocidal campaigns against Armenians, Greeks and Assyrians, killing 1.5M Armenians, 700K Greeks and 500K Assyrians for being Christian. A century later, Turkey still denies responsibility.
@IngrahamAngle Need to normalize people dressing nicely again. So sick of going out and seeing people dressed in hoodies, pajamas, basketball shorts, etc. I don’t care if it’s just grocery shopping, it looks shitty. It requires little effort to wear decent shorts/pants and a collared shirt
@nicksortor Youd see blue states raise taxes to offset the lost federal funds. The net impact to taxpayers will be zero in those states, you'll just pay more to states and less to the federal govt. That said, itll make moving to red states more appealing because they wouldn’t raise taxes 1:1
In 2000, 1 in 150 children were identified as autistic. In 2022, it was 1 in 31. By 2062, assuming the current trend continues, 1 in 2 children will be autistic. This is one of the most serious health crises facing our nation but doesn’t get the warranted attention.
@newtgingrich Thank you. We need to spend less time focusing on medical care and more time promoting healthier diets. Drive down consumption of processed foods, sugary drinks, etc.
@RandPaul Offer social security buyouts. Give me a lump sum payout based on what I’ve paid in and you won’t owe me anything at retirement. And I won’t pay in moving forward.
@nypost As of 2022, 1 in 20 boys have autism and 1 in 70 girls have autism. In 2024 it’ll be a higher rate given the trends. Parents are frightened and doing everything they can to protect their children, and unfortunately the medical industry hasn’t done enough to allay concerns.
@Shahrizor Respect to our Kurdish brothers and sisters, we Assyrians are more than willing to learn new languages and have peaceful relations with our neighbors. Kurdistan Region is home to many thriving Assyrians, including the beloved Patriarch of our Church
@cenkuygur@AbdulElSayed Probably because he’s running for office chiefly to stick it to Israel rather than caring about everyday American problems. He’s not fooling anyone.
@SMB_Attorney Why not just use a standard electric toothbrush and floss your teeth? Anyone that doesn’t floss consistently is simply being lazy. It takes a few minutes and isn’t hard. Come on
@brewer4chicago Eliminate all of the requirements for affordable housing in new construction, plus all of the other onerous requirements. More supply will put downward pressure on prices and increase affordability. See: Texas, Florida, Arizona - rents declined a lot there thanks to more supply
@RepKamBuckner The question is whether the government is willing to make the difficult decisions required for growth. Tougher on crime, lower taxes, less restrictions around new housing construction. This is why Florida, Arizona, Texas, etc have explosive population growth and declining rent
@notKosherJerry@RudawEnglish The population of minorities, especially Christian minorities like Assyrians, has declined significantly in the Middle East. Comparatively, the minority population in America has exploded. The numbers tell the story.
