@PutAimovigOnNHS I have seen residents who ask me to stay after my appt so they can learn more about my dx, how I got it, early sx(she wanted to be a pediatrician) to watch for, and so on. I've had a dr ask me to teach him about my daughter's dx bc she was the 1st one he'd ever seen in person. 2/

@PutAimovigOnNHS I understood what you meant. I've seen both sides of the coin. Drs who are angry that yes, I was correct and yes, they got caught using google(while holding a mug that makes fun of google doctorates). I've also had some who sit down with me and ask questions about my dx. 1/

@CardioFIT6 @GGWem @palaeokatie On the flip side, I've watched a cardio google my condition, tell me I was incorrect about something I said, and then be unhappy when I pointed him to real studies (not random articles) that said the same thing I just did. I'm a PT with a rare dx. I probably know my condition.

@robotmaths @nataliehoad @MicheleLee1664 @TitPostLeft My kid used to get strep when he was in daycare from other kids. Strep isn't exclusive to sexual contact. Simply drinking after someone or touching a door knob can transfer it. No penis or vagina needed.

We would have weekly lice checks with the nurse(whole class would go) and they'd get sent home every time. We had to put our coats in garbage bags so we didn't get it from hanging our coats beside theirs. It was sad

@gpork @ehnyay @NoodlesTori At my school, you just signed up for them. Same with my kids' school system. No tests. No pre honor requirements. Now a few classes did req other classes first(ie for calculus, you had to have algebra 2 first). Same kids took honors in my school since 6th grade. Mostly GT kids.

@FallenHades @lesliedope_ Just to add, years ago, several people died because their fentanyl patch(reservoir kind) gave too much at once(instead of micro dosing it blasted). These were people who took it properly but the mechanism was faulty. Narcan would have saved them.

@FallenHades @lesliedope_ Yes. In my state, if you're prescribed fentanyl patches or lollipops, you are required to get a new narcan every 2 years. It works just as well for any accidental opioid overdose and I'd especially suggest it if you have kids in a home with legal (or illegal) opioids.
