How much did Gaza actually “hurt Kamala Harris politically”? Obviously there was an Uncommitted movement in Michigan that hurt her to some extent. But how much? The margin matters (even if a reasonable estimate). Without that analysis, this is pretty much useless.

@samhaselby Yeah that’s pretty substantial if true. My problem though is that it zeroes in on the Gaza issue alone. There was a big study right after the election showing it was way down the list of priorities for swing voters though.

I'm surprised there haven't been more efforts to regulate e-bikes, especially when used by pre-teens who ride in excess of 30 mph down streets. This is going on everywhere, BTW, not just NYC. They look more like quiet mopeds than bicycles.

In NYC, "there were 560 collisions involving e-bikes and 795 involving standup e-scooters through third week of July. Both figures were up 28% from last year....At least 20 riders have died in e-bike and e-scooter collisions so far this year, up from 13 in same period last year."

@KelleyKga 28mph then. They're clearly e-bikes and going much faster than the riders should be going. It's usually just the rider's risk but sometimes they cut off walkers and joggers.

@NY_LBSS @Guy2Plain It's both, actually. I've seen up close so many examples of suburban kids, around 13 years old, flying down two-lane roads, making abrupt turns in front of cars, cutting off pedestrians in parking lots, running into joggers, etc.
