It was my first AbSciCon and... wow. What an incredible experience. It was so wonderful to see all of the work that's coming out now. The ability to hear about agnostic biosignatures, analog studies, proposed future NASA missions, and astrovirology all in one day still (1/2)

@sanjanacurtis And then being told that I'm not working hard enough or I need to apply myself more and take on more responsibility. Like ?? I am constantly burnt out because I need to work multiple jobs to make ends meet. I don't know what else I can do, literally 🙃

@sanjanacurtis This is half of why I'm quitting academia! I can't afford to live on my own. No support network, so everything falls to me. 2 jobs on the side on top of the 40 hr grad work week, cooking, cleaning, etc. And I'm not paid a living wage. And I'm a white masc presenting person
