I get the sentiment and I don't strictly disagree. But also, part of what makes memories so fragile is that we inure ourselves to offloading memory onto technology. Just be with people, your kids, your friends, whoever. Put the camera away. Let it live in your soul.
When I feel it, I get the laugh impulse because it's so funny and joyful, but I usually opt not to laugh cause I'm even happier in that state of quietude. Often when I get the laugh impulse in grosser states of tension-release, I can't hold it in.
At the energetic layer *beneath* where you sense your biggest knots of tension and self-making, there is another layer that is composed of a constant fluttering nervous "body chatter".
It's like a thousand little micro flutters that are firing everywhere all at once. Quieting this leads to a profound calmness and openness that isn't as intensely pleasurable as releasing tension, but feels somehow even better.
@DanCruver The hardest part is not your own maneuvers but the assumptions you make about what other drivers are going to do, which tend to be subconscious for experienced drivers. Force yourself to THINK about what turns are free to the other drivers. And look RIGHT at intersections!
I was watching World Cup to follow USA, but after England/Mexico the other night and Argentina/Egypt just now, I think I just watched two of the greatest sporting events I've ever seen.
I was still a little shitlib at the time (hence me even trying), but I think it went a long way towards me feeling alienated by calling someone like him an "american". Just totally clueless and uninterested. Extremely alienating.
