Now ahead of print: Critical-Speed Modeling Using Familiar Performance Tests Can Accurately Predict 1500-m Rowing-Ergometer Performance Capability, by @AstridgeDaniel , Jason C. Bartam, Peter Peeling, Paul S.R. Goods, @dr_o_girard, and Martyn J. Binnie

Rowers aiming to compete at @LA28 are going to have to simultaneously prepare for racing over 1500m and 2000m.
Our latest study demonstrates how addition of a short maximal test allows prediction and tracking of 1500m capability while maintaining 2000m performance preparation.
This month in Science of Rowing, Alex Wolf explores a pivotal topic: "2,000m to 1,500m"βthe potential shift in Olympic rowing distances and its impact on training and race strategies as we head towards LA 2028.
A new Olympic cycle, and a new racing distance for Rowing.
With eyes now on 2028, @InsideWAIS, @RowingAust and @uwanews teamed up to compare power output and pacing profiles within the same crews over 2000m and 1500m.
The Australian Under 21 team has retained the Rusty Robertson Trophy with another clean sweep of New Zealand after the Trans-Tasman Regatta on Lake Burley Griffin.
