A beautiful morning to celebrate America 250 at the most magical place on Earth, with the U.S. Air Force Reserve’s 920th Rescue Wing!
Happy 250th America! 🇺🇸
📸Matthew (@mbrostphotos) for @TheLaunchPadX
Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸
As I hold this beautiful American flag that flew over the US Capitol earlier this year as part of America 250; I can't help but reflect on how much this country means to me.
I have spent so much of my life in the US; from summer vacations in Montana, Washington, and Oregon, to living in Southern California during the winters as a teen, to now covering the space industry in Florida, Texas, and New Mexico. I have been lucky to visit 26 states so far, and the US truly feels like home!
To stand in the very footprint where Apollo launched and where the next generation of lunar explorers and first martian explorers are gearing up is truly humbling.
Even though I'm not an American (hopefully one day, working on it 🤞), the American Dream has profoundly shaped my life. That feeling of limitless possibility is what makes this country so special.
Only in America could a private citizen send a payload to the moon!
Only in America could a 27 year old have the chance to buy a ticket to space!
Only in America could a Canadian look up at the Moon and Mars and say, "One day, I'm going to walk there."
Today, we celebrate 250 years of American freedom, innovation, and the incredible spirit that drives humanity forward. I am endlessly grateful for the opportunities I've had in America and my own piece of that American Dream.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy Independence Day!
Let's celebrate freedom today! 🎇
I will never forget this past Sunday!! Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change of heart; it’s a symbolic expression of faith and an act of obedient surrender.
On Sunday, after years of running, I finally took that step of authentic faith at Ellerslie Road Baptist Church!
As many know, Ellerslie was a major part of my early life, but for seven years, I walked away entirely. I left after experiencing trauma, which led to years of questioning my beliefs in organized religion. During that time, I set my eyes entirely toward earthly things, pouring myself exclusively into my business and letting my health spiral while confusing the actions of broken people with the character of God.
Though I was running away, God never forgot me!
As I shared yesterday on the stage "For seven years, I walked away from organized religion entirely...But I’ve since learned that God never leaves you. At my absolute darkest moment, when I was hours away from death, God remembered me. He sent me help and He physically showed up offering me help and calling me back...I have experienced His transforming power through profound physical healing, but even more, He healed the trauma caused by human failure. He taught me that while people can cause deep pain, God is the one who heals and restores."
I have broken through my traumas and am choosing to forgive those who hurt me.
Thank you to Jiho, Kyle, Mattias, Pastor Conrad, and Pastor Dave for your friendship over the years and for being an earthly reflection of God’s grace by meeting me right where I was at, and helping me realize I am home at Ellerslie; but more importantly, home with Christ.
God, I dedicate my life to you, and I will go wherever you send me!
Well after 13 years; was great to get the clubs out again!
Look forward to hitting the course later this week, after good warm up with old friend at the driving range today.

Had the absolute privilege of hanging out with the students and teachers at E2 Academy Edmonton last week for an "Ask the Expert" day. 🚀
We did a quick deep dive into my journey, but the real highlight was the two AMA sessions. These kids kept me on my toes!
We covered NASA, SpaceX, the Artemis Accords, building the first Moon base, and the massive hurdles we have to clear to become multi-planetary on Mars.
Seeing the feedback from the school completely made my week! Honestly, the honor was all mine.
If I can inspire even a handful of these kids to pursue careers as scientists, engineers, explorers, or in whatever their passion is, then it's a massive win; because we need everyone if going to become multi-planetary!
Thank you E2 Academy for the warm welcome. The future is in great hands!
🌎🌕🔴 Mars, we come!
Huge shoutout to the incredible students and teachers at E2 Academy Edmonton! 🚀
Zac dropped in last week for an "Ask the Expert" day, and it was an absolute blast. After a quick presentation about his own journey and where humanity is headed next, the floor opened up for two massive Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions.
The questions were next-level, even challenges some of Zac's knowledge! We talked about everything from NASA and SpaceX to the Artemis Accords, plans for the first Moon base, the brutal challenges of becoming multi-planetary on Mars, and so much more.
We were incredibly moved by what the team at E2 Academy shared about the visit:
"I don’t think anyone has ever captured the kids’ attention more. The excitement, curiosity, and thoughtful questions from our students made this such an awesome experience for everyone involved. Hearing about Artemis II and Zachary’s journey as a successful YouTuber inspired so many future explorers, scientists, engineers… and of course every kid’s big dream these days, becoming a successful YouTuber themselves!" — E2 Academy Edmonton
Thank you for having us, E2 Academy!
@AlexRoebuck@48FighterWing I really have to go to Mach Loop next time that side of the pond; was supposed to on my last trip but plans fell apart.
Amazing capture!

Because space is better together!
A year ago tonight, my grandfather’s heart stopped.
In that moment, everything slows down but somehow; because I had taken CPR and AED training, in one of the hardest moments of my life… I didn’t, and we got him back!
Now the next 13 days didn’t end the way we hoped; but they gave us something priceless.
We got to laugh together one more time...
I got to hear him say my name one more time...
We got to hear his final wishes...
And we got the chance to say till we meet again. 💔
If you’ve ever thought about learning CPR (or maybe it been out of date for many years; do it! I truly hope you never have to use it; but if that moment ever comes, you’ll be glad you did.
Do it for someone you love!
Do it in memory of my hero!
Miss you every day, Papa!
