@alienafra What does anyone ever gain from an argument?
And you did make it personal. You said you didn’t expect me to understand because I’m a man. That implies there’s something inherently deficient about my ability to understand the issue based solely on my sex, instead of responding to
@alienafra Arguing in good faith is when you tackle the content of what somebody is saying.
If somebody attacks your character, they haven't won the debate. They haven't even had a debate in the first place.
@alienafra "Let's say you make your point clearly,
carefully, and politely. But rather than
address your argument, the other
person says, You would think that
because you are a man."
Bulverism.
@alienafra She’s a woman in her 30s who built a career telling younger women how to act, talk, and carry themselves, and this is how she acts? I don’t feel sorry for her because she’s spent years presenting herself as an authority on avoiding exactly this kind of situation.
@alienafra There’s nothing to explain. She made multiple videos saying she wouldn’t let a man use a child against her because she didn’t want to appear weak on the internet, as if fighting for your child somehow makes you weak. Those are statements you should never make
@immasiddx Personally, this was caused by my Bluetooth headphones. I solved it by having an automation to set ringer volume to 75% when I turn on Do Not Disturb.
