Update: some services have been restored, while others may be available in a read-only state or intermittently. We expect services to be fully restored tomorrow, September 20th.
Several servers in the CADC data centre have failed. This is being investigated, but many services are experiencing some problems. No current estimate for when this will be fixed, but we will post here when more information is available.
The CADC is experiencing capacity and load related problems. Intermittent failures are occurring. We are working on resolving the problems, but such issues are likely to occur for the next few weeks until additional capacity is brought on line.
Some CADC servers will need to be taken offline to address immediate hardware problems. Some service disruptions should be expected for the next hour (until ~1230PDT)
Tomorrow, Wednesday June 23rd, between 0930PDT and 1130PDT, there will be brief outages of the VOSpace service, vault, while a hardware problem on the primary database server is fixed.
CADC and CANFAR services should be running normally now. There will be another outage later today when we switch back to the primary server -- the time for that will be announced later.
There will be a short outage of CADC services this morning at 0900 PST while we switch to our secondary database server. This outage should only last 5-10 minutes.
