I feel that taxing the poor to give more money to everyone (even if the poor end up better than before, im not denying that!) its weird. If the goal is to simplify the tax code I think a Negative income tax is better

@snortnutmeg @OnlyAsinine If there is a real attempt to restructure the tax code, it would be possible to fund it, although perhaps the examples you gave are the reason it is politically inviable. It would require a very aggressive broadening of the tax base, towards the lower percentiles
