Trying to learn #astrophotography under UK skies ๐ค using Player One Ares-C Pro & Neptune C-II cameras, 200P-DS, Skymax 127 & Coronado PST scopes, AVX mount
I spent some time this afternoon reprocessing a image I captured back in September 2025.
Right: NGC 7331 โ a spiral galaxy ~40 million light years away. Left: Stephanโs Quintet โ 5 galaxies, 4 locked in a dance
This was 13.5 hours of data #astrophotography
Non inverted edition of yesterdays sun from Hemyock, Devon around 13:00BST on 30th May 2026. Captured in Hydrogen Alpha using a Coronado PST & Player One Neptune CII (red channel only) #astrophotography

Re-process of the one hour of data I captured on M51. I prefer these colours! This was after adding the correct filter to SPCC in Pixinsight #astrophotography

4 clear nights! 13.5 hours!
Right: NGC 7331 โ a spiral galaxy ~40 million light years away.
Left: Stephanโs Quintet โ 5 galaxies, 4 locked in a dance ~290 million light years away.
Light that left before humans existed, now on my camera.

I fitted an electronic focuser to my Skymax 127. I hope this will help me with planetary and luna #astrophotography
Thank to the talented design, here's a link to the parts:

Some shots of last nights moon captured from my back garden in Hemyock, Devon. Copernicus, Tycho and Clavius. Captured with a Skymax 127, 2x barlow, UVIR filter and Player One Neptune CII camera #astrophotography
Slight reprocess of the image of Jupiter I captured on the 21st March 2026 from my home in #Devon UK. Skymax 127, 2X Barlow, UV/IR cut filter, Player One Neptune CII #astrophotography
