Do you see “form and function condition each other” as the fundamental principle, or do you lean toward the more directional view that form leads to function?
If the latter, then a galaxy whose large-scale structure shares topological similarities with a human brain or a fungal mycelium would simply be a different substrate running analogous computational processes of intelligence — just on a different scale and with different physical degrees of freedom. Is that roughly how you think about it?
It is engineering thinking applied to one’s own thinking. Ratio operates as a compiler—a machine that does not deceive.
It tests with Socrates and Popper, lets through or blocks.
When it squeaks, that is not a failure of the stance, but the signal that something does not withstand the test.
The life philosophy consists in running this machine as part of one’s own unity and taking its output seriously.
Nothing exists unfiltered. Nothing has value that has not come through. This is neither a reduction of the human to Ratio nor a liberation from it. It is the description of a unity that does not relinquish its own examination.
Observations remain identical. Standard quantum mechanics delivers the same results but needs extra interpretive steps for the transition from wave to particle picture. A unified wave/energy perspective explains the same without dualism. Whether it goes deeper is open — but it is the more parsimonious story for the same data.
