The LDF will return to Kerala with greater strength and wider public support. We have overcome many such phases in the past, and this electoral setback should not be seen as the end of either the CPI(M) or the LDF.
The people have delivered a verdict in favour of a change in government, and we fully respect that democratic mandate. The LDF Government remained committed to leading Kerala on the path of progress, welfare and development.
The development initiatives and welfare measures undertaken during this period must continue, and the incoming UDF Government has the responsibility to carry them forward in the interests of the state.
The LDF will continue its political work in an organised and determined manner and will function as a strong and constructive opposition. Any action by the government that goes against the interests of Kerala and its people will be firmly resisted.
The LDF will move forward with confidence, deepen its engagement with the people and emerge stronger in the coming period.

I wish the Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan, all the very best for the upcoming election. Above all, I feel that the state, Keralam, is also ende Keralam. Even if some, in their exclusive mindset, attribute an outsider status to me, I remain emotionally attached to Keralam.

Hence, I would urge the beneficiaries of that state (which includes me) to reflect on the past decade and wish him well. Let us make the right decision.

Congratulations to the LDF Government in Kerala for once again reaffirming its commitment to social welfare by announcing a series of pro-people measures.

The hike in welfare pensions to ₹2000 per month for 62 lakh beneficiaries, the ₹1000 increase in honorariums to ASHA and Anganawadi workers, and the host of other welfare measures, including a monthly pension of ₹1000 to all women, including trans women, from poor households aged between 35 and 60, and a ₹1000 monthly grant to 5 lakh youths pursuing skill development courses or preparing for examinations, reflect the true spirit and the relevance of the Left Alternative in India.
