I wish fellow South Africans can blue tick what is happening between Kenya and other African countries. And just stop commenting and take no sides, they were united in their hate and calling us Xenophobic. Let the hypocrites fight
Doing things like "locking up criminals" and "tutoring kids" works.
I note this pretty often, because both hereditarian and "Kendiangelist" debaters are remarkably resistant to it.
@OnePablo20@LuGuy20 And what is your source. It's not like you have proven anything. You can literally check unemployment and poverty rates amongst white South Africans since 1994 to see the point I'm making.
@OnePablo20@LuGuy20 This is a huge lie lol. White South Africans as a whole are getting poorer. This just benefits corrupt wealthy white families, a minority amongst a minority.
The hard reality is that a huge bloc of modern ideas in social science - stereotype threat, racial resentment, benevolent sexism, sexualization, objectification, microaggressions, at least univariate "white privilege," progressive stacking, The Male Gaze, heterocentricism, "healthy at any size," "The New Jim Crow," mass incarceration, unprovoked white flight, "slave trauma," po-mo theory itself - are either total horse-shit or hysterical descriptions of normal and positive things.
Women and Boomers are essentially in a secret conspiracy. Boomers constantly give women tips and opportunities and special mentorship. Women are discreetly remaining silent and downplaying the help they're getting and hiding it from their male peers. Pretend to fairly compete
It’s not a pivot. Feminism has always said this. The first wave was aggressively anti family, anti man, and anti child. There was no “good wave” of feminism. It’s been poison from day one.
lack of people pairing up into couples and getting married reduces social cohesion in unexpected ways. we got new neighbors. saw the guy outside, said hi. turns out his sister died the day he moved in. obviously, him and i never discussed this. but his wife told my wife - only the two women would communicate that.
so my wife got them flowers - and gave them to his wife. now, we’re basically friends overnight. but there’s no way the two men in the situation (him and i) would have done this absent the women. i wouldn’t get a guy flowers (bizarre, to me) and he wouldn’t (from his perspective) dump this information on some random guy he doesn’t know. you begin to understand the complex formalities present in cultures like victorian england or feudal japan that carved clear avenues and back channels for things like this.
I actually can’t wait to take on The Helen Suzman Foundation, Seri, Lawyers for Human Rights, SA Human Rights Commission and that entire crew that has used their NGOs to fight battles for foreigners using our courts… 👌👌
Gay marriage and the normalization of homosexuality have—as Lasch highlights—brought on the repression, rather than the liberation, of homoerotic longing.
Back when gay was not ok, the taboo against open homosexuality propelled queers to channel their tragic homoerotic longing toward higher ideals: art, literature, asceticism, serving in the royal court, or living a life of danger and debauchery in the demimonde.
Now that it's ok, gays are encouraged to settle for mundane forms of fulfillment like the ephemeral pleasure of a Grindr hookup or a static life of bourgeois domesticity.
Mimosa Bantus are so hilarious to me they don’t just import American talking points they also import American problems and mayors too, talking about we need a Mamdani in Johannesburg.
Johannesburg is in full scale decay, one of the leading issues is hijacked buildings and households by foreigners in the south and north. We need nothing but law and order in this city for a good 10 years.
Bryanston, fourways, Illovo, Cresta, the whole of Randburg etc. are on their way to becoming Hillbrow in the next 10 years.
We don’t need liberal rhetoric from the privileged in this city, we need an enforcer that rules with an iron fist to do a massive clean up.
