I complain about every single former WWE Wrestler that joins AEW. Call it a personality flaw.
Not this one! Tommaso Ciampa fits! He never got a fair shake in WWE. His NXT Feud with Gargano was one of the best feuds I've ever seen.
Welcome to AEW!

Never accept a counteroffer—even if it’s a 100% hike.
Being in HR, I’ve seen this play out more times than you think.
A candidate I was hiring for was earning 100,000.
He got a new offer of 170,000, a solid jump.
But within 15 minutes of the offer letter hitting his inbox, he backed out.
His current company dangled a 190,000 counter-offer and he accepted it immediately.
Fast forward 4 months…
The same candidate messaged me again.
His company had laid him off and replaced him with a cheaper resource.
His message started with:
Hi sir, I’m really sorry… do you have any openings?
This is exactly why I keep saying this:
👉 A counter-offer is not a reward. It’s a strategy to buy time until they find someone cheaper.
👉 Loyalty doesn’t magically increase with money.
👉 If they valued you, they wouldn’t wait until your resignation to pay you fairly.
Please don’t fall for counter-offers. It looks like a win… until it isn’t.
I was forced to train an intern. Spent 6 months teaching him everything I knew - every system, every client
quirk, every shortcut I'd learned over five years.
They made him my boss yesterday. Double my salary. Everyone in the conference room stared, waiting for a
reaction. I just smiled and congratulated him.
The next day, everyone froze when they opened my company-wide email. It said,
"Effective immediately, I
will no longer be providing training, guidance, or assistance to management. My role description does
not include mentoring supervisors."
HR called me into a meeting within an hour. My new boss looked panicked. He had no idea how to do half his job without me. Management tried to guilt me, saying I was being unprofessional and hurting the team.
But here's the thing. I'd been doing two jobs for years. Fixing everyone's mistakes. Staying late while others
went home. And for what? To watch someone I trained get the promotion I deserved?
Now, my boss keeps showing up at my desk with questions, and I redirect him to HR every single time. The tension is unbearable.
My coworkers are divided - some think I'm brave, others say I'm being petty.
I don't know what to do anymore. Was I wrong to draw this line? I'm exhausted from years of being taken advantage of, but now I'm wondering if I just made everything worse for myself.
I need honest advice because I feel like I'm drowning here, and I don't know if I should keep standing my
ground or find a way to fix this mess before it destroys my career completely.
Boss said, "My team is burned out, but they're not even working that much."
The real problem was invisible.
"They're exhausted," the boss told me. "But most leave by 6 PM."
I'd seen this before.
"Tell me about their typical day," I said.
"Normal stuff. Meetings, projects, the usual."
"How many tools do they switch between?"
He started counting on his fingers.
Stopped at ten.
"How often do priorities change?"
"We're agile," he said. "We adapt quickly."
"How quickly?"
"Daily. Sometimes hourly."
"Show me one person's calendar," I said.
He pulled up his marketing director's schedule.
Seventeen meetings in three days.
Eight different projects discussed.
Zero focused work time.
"She's drowning," I said.
"But she's only here 45 hours a week."
"Hours aren't the problem. Decisions are."
He looked puzzled.
I explained.
"Research shows that every context switch can take over 20 minutes to recover mentally.
She switches contexts more than 15 times a day.
That's 5 hours of mental recovery time, every day.
It's only an 8-hour workday."
His face changed.
"Your team isn't tired from working.
They're tired from switching.
From deciding what's actually important.
From never finishing anything."
"What do I do?"
"Three changes:
First: One main priority per week.
Not seven. One.
Written down. Shared with everyone.
Second: Batch meetings.
All meetings on Tuesday/Thursday.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday for deep work.
Third: Pick three tools. Kill the rest."
They were using Slack, Teams, email, Asana, Monday, Notion, and four others.
Now they use three. Total.
Six weeks later:
"How's the team?" I asked.
"Same hours. Completely different energy."
"What changed?"
"Maria finished a project last week.
The whole thing. Start to finish.
First time in two years."
He paused.
"She actually smiled in our one-on-one.
Said she forgot what it felt like to complete something."
The truth about burnout:
It's not always about the hours you put in.
It's about where your attention is pulled.
You can work 40 hours and feel destroyed.
Or 55 hours and feel energized.
The difference?
Whether those hours are spent starting things.
Or finishing them.
Most leaders count hours.
The smart ones protect focus.
Because burnout doesn't come from hard work.
It comes from work that never ends.
Boss: “You arrived 10 minutes late.”
Employee: “Yesterday I stayed late finishing that last-minute report.”
Boss: “I understand… but rules are rules.”
The next day, the employee arrived exactly on time.
And at 6:00 p.m. sharp, shut down the computer.
No extra emails. No work taken home.
If punctuality is non-negotiable, then effort must have boundaries too.
Recognition cannot be one-sided.
When mistakes are highlighted but dedication is ignored, the real message becomes clear:
“Do only what’s required. Nothing more.”
Empathy costs nothing.
The absence of it? That can cost you everything—especially your best people.
Boss Salary: 450,000/month
Employee Salary: 50,000/month
Boss sends a three-word email: “Fix this ASAP”
Employee drafts a detailed report, stays online till midnight and even joins weekend calls.
Still gets told: “You need to be more productive.”
Boost: Boss gets a 1.2 million bonus and a 25% salary increase.
Employee gets: 4,000 supermarket voucher and a notebook that says “Team Player of the Month.”

“polis tahan”
“polis call suruh datang balai”
“polis stop kereta”
“polis datang rumah”
kita kena buat apa in this situation? this is a thread on your rights and police power in layman’s terms yang senang nak faham.
Repost for awareness, don’t forget to bookmark 😬
1. bila polis call and suruh lapor diri dekat balai. nak kena buat apa?
- tanya nama polis tu and kat mana dia bertugas
- tanya sebab kenapa kena lapor diri, and whether you are under investigation
- set time bila nak lapor diri
- mintak polis bagi notis 111, kalau notice 111 is issued, attendance is mandatory ikut masa and tempat yang ditetapkan
- jangan pergi sorang, bawak lawyer sekali untuk teman, inform family/friends dulu.
2. bila kena stop dengan polis masa tengah jalan
- move to a bright and crowded place kalau sorang sorang
- cakap dengan suara yang kuat, tapi jangan provoke, cakap baik baik je tapi kuat supaya orang lain dengar conversation tu.
3. bila polis datang rumah
- JANGAN BUKAK PINTU before you confirmkan identity polis tu and apa purpose dia datang rumah
- call family/friends/lawyer to let them know about the situation.
TAKE NOTE ‼️
in situation 2 and 3, kena tanya pasal KAD KUASA POLIS.
- mintak nama and nombor anggota
- nombor plate kereta/motor polis tu
JENIS KAD KUASA POLIS:
🔵 - inspektor ke atas

kalau kena soal masa kena stop dengan polis, apa nak kena buat?
- just bagi nama, nombor ic and alamat SAHAJA.
- kalau polis tanya lebih, kena tanya “adakah saya ditahan/ditangkap?”
macamana nak tahu kita ditahan/ditangkap?
- polis akan cakap “kamu ditahan/ditangkap”
- polis tak bagi kita pergi mana mana
- digari
- ic kena ambik
kalau polis tak buat macamni, maksudnya tak ditahan.
kalau kena tahan/tangkap, kena tanya, “kenapa saya ditangkap?”
-polis mesti kena bagitau sebab and kita can choose to keep silent.
- boleh tanya, “encik nak bawak ke balai mana?”
- kita ada hak untuk call family/friends/lawyer

- hak orang yang ditahan are guaranteed under Section 28A of the Criminal Procedure Code interrogation after arrest.
- kita akan diminta untuk bagi official statement which is the 112 statement
- kalau confused if soalan polis tu informal termasuk dalam 112 statement ke tak, boleh tanya, “adakah ini pernyataan 112?”
- kalau ya, kita can choose to answer or not.
- please remember that WE HAVE THE RIGHT to remain silent if polis soal siasat masa pernyataan 112
- we only have to give our name, ic number and address
- kita boleh jawab “saya jawab di court”
- you have the right to bring a lawyer during the 112 statement.
- make sure kita faham semua soalan yang IO tanya
- ask for interpreter if tak faham bahasa yang digunakan semasa soal siasat
- pastikan semua jawapan betul sebelum sign 112 statement
- we have the right to ask to make amendments before signing it body search.
- polis boleh buat body search tak kisah kita ditahan ataupun tak kalau polis buat body search tanpa arrest,
- polis inspektor ke atas yang tengah on duty je boleh buat
- jangan bagi polis masukkan tangan dalam poket kita
- keluarkan barang one by one and sebut nama barang tu masa keluarkan
- tunjukkan poket kosong and tak simpan apa apa.
kalau polis buat body search semasa ditahan,
- make sure lawyer teman
- body search kat tempat tertutup
- private part tak boleh sentuh
- polis perempuan je boleh buat body search on perempuan
reman pertama: max 4 hari
reman kedua: max 3 hari
