Big day: Ataraxis raised a $20.4 million Series A from @aixventureshq, @peterthiel, and other top tier VC funds and angel investors, including OpenAI & DeepMind researchers.
This funding round comes just a few months after we revealed Ataraxis Breast, the world's first AI-native platform to personalize treatment in breast cancer patients. We also launched Kestrel, our state-of-the-art foundation model for digital pathology.
Our frontier AI lab is dedicated to developing and clinically deploying tools that personalize treatment for cancer patients. In October, an 8,000-patient clinical validation study confirmed that Ataraxis Breast accurately identifies high- and low-risk patients, significantly outperforming legacy diagnostic tests. Ataraxis Breast is just the first of many Ataraxis products, and with our Series A financing, we will accelerate their development and deployment to help cancer patients worldwide.
Ataraxis is already back to building, and we’re looking for exceptional people to join us. If you're passionate about AI and medicine and want to be a part of the fastest-growing AI precision medicine company, consider joining our team: https://t.co/AuVPzJsvSZ
We are sharing this milestone alongside an exclusive TechCrunch feature.
A huge thank you to our employees, investors, patients, and physicians—this journey wouldn’t be possible without you. This is just the beginning.
Ataraxis is heading to ASCO 2026 with new predictive data supporting our first-in-class tools.
For the first time, we're presenting clinical evidence that AI can predict treatment benefits of adjuvant and neoadjuvant therapies in breast cancer on an individual basis, rather than relying on population averages and overall cancer aggressiveness. We will present our first clinical validation in a Phase III randomized controlled trial and results of a prospective trial of Ataraxis Breast.
- Estimating Individual Benefit from Adjuvant Chemotherapy in Hormone Receptor-Positive Breast Cancer Using Causal Multimodal Artificial Intelligence (Dr. Frederick Howard, UChicago Medicine)
- Evaluating Performance of an AI-Based Recurrence Score in Early Breast Cancer Patients Treated with Chemoendocrine Therapy: A Secondary Analysis of the UNIRAD Trial (Dr. Thomas Bachelot, Centre Léon Bérard)
- Real-World Deployment of a Multimodal AI Model for Predicting Response to Neoadjuvant Therapy in Early Breast Cancer (Dr. Bareket Daniel, PhD, Shaare Zedek Medical Center)
- Evaluating the Prognostic Performance of an AI-Based Model in Clinically Low-Risk HR+/HER2- Early Breast Cancer (Dr. Dhruva Biswas MD PhD, Ataraxis AI)
We look forward to sharing how AI is transforming breast cancer care. See you in Chicago!
Today, we announced the launch of Ataraxis Breast NEO, a predictive test estimating the likelihood of pathologic complete response (pCR) to neoadjuvant therapy in early-stage breast cancer.
With the addition of Ataraxis Breast NEO, the Ataraxis Breast suite now supports treatment decisions across the full patient journey, starting in the neoadjuvant setting and extending across multiple stages of care. Using a standard core needle biopsy H&E slide collected at initial diagnosis, NEO estimates pCR likelihood across all major breast cancer subtypes: HER2+, triple-negative, and HR+/HER2-negative patients.
NEO has already been clinically validated in more than 1,500 patients from real-world and prospective clinical trial cohorts and is now available for clinical use as part of the Ataraxis™ Breast suite, alongside RISK and CTX, expanding the suite’s ability to inform care from a single H&E slide.

This week we announced Ataraxis Breast CTX, a new capability within the Ataraxis Breast platform designed to estimate patient-specific chemotherapy benefit in HR+ early-stage breast cancer.
To share more about the thinking behind it, we recorded a tableside conversation with members of our research team.
If you're interested in where AI-driven oncology decision support is heading, we hope you find the discussion interesting.

Today, we announced the launch of Ataraxis Breast CTX, individualized chemotherapy benefit prediction test, and Ataraxis Tau, a causal inference platform.
Ataraxis Breast CTX is the first predictive test for HR+/HER2- breast cancer that does not rely on recurrence risk categories to identify adjuvant chemotherapy benefit. CTX estimates recurrence risk reduction for each patient, and helps find patients who benefit, but also who might still have significant residual risk.
CTX was developed using Ataraxis Tau, our causal inference platform. Ataraxis Tau allows AI models to recover treatment effects from real-world, multi-institutional, observational data. Tau is Ataraxis’s AI engine to develop and validate predictive tests across all cancer types.
Ataraxis Breast CTX has already been clinically and analytically validated in observational and clinical trial data, and is now available for breast cancer patients as part of Ataraxis Breast suite.

Today, we’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Jennifer Person, DBA to Ataraxis as our Head of Sales.
Jennifer brings 20+ years of commercial leadership in oncology and diagnostics, with a strong track record of building high-performing teams, accelerating adoption, and delivering growth. She joins us from Biotheranostics (a Hologic company), where she held senior sales leadership roles across key accounts and regional leadership. Prior to that, she spent many years at Myriad Genetics, helping scale molecular diagnostics and expand access for patients nationwide.
Jennifer will be instrumental as we scale our commercial organization and broaden access to Ataraxis Breast and other AI-native tools for clinicians and patients.
Today we announce a research collaboration between Ataraxis AI and Unicancer to validate the Ataraxis Breast platform using phase III trial data (1,100+ HR+ breast cancer patients).

Today, we announce a strategic research collaboration between Ataraxis AI and MEDSIR (@wearemedsir), a global leader in oncology research.
The partnership will evaluate the Ataraxis Breast platform in several international randomized controlled trials. Together, we aim to generate robust clinical evidence on the role of artificial intelligence in predicting outcomes and treatment effects in early-stage and metastatic breast cancer. The analyses will especially focus on novel therapies investigated in MEDSIR's groundbreaking trials, including CDK4/6 inhibitors and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
This is one of many ongoing partnerships at Ataraxis working on developing a robust evidence base supporting the accuracy and utility of Ataraxis AI-native tools, and moving AI precision oncology closer to becoming the standard of care.
