What I wouldn’t I give for a leader who appointed @nntaleb as flaneur in chief. No dealing with bureaucracy nonsense or political posturing or confirmation hearings. Just walking and thinking and occasionally lending a word of wisdom or a scalding rebuke when needed.
It’s a sign of the canvassing capacity that the Harris campaign has in PA that I’m getting called having voted once in a municipal primary in 2017. I should be (and probably am) the 8th tier of potential voters
@wcmatthews Designed to actually recruit you, or designed to suggest to Dems that there will be an army of poorly trained pull watchers threatening them?
@NateSilver538 Yeah going from a 20% chance to a 45% chance (not empirical, entirely my gut) is a swap I would make any day. I think a lot of Dems didn’t want to push Biden publicly because a replacement would probably still lose, but those two losing chances are very different
Saying Mayor Adams will be too distracted to focus on leading the city well after this indictment assumes he was ever particularly focused. Or leading well.
I’m worried that Tim Walz’s biography will encourage some young the sociopaths who aspire to higher office to go into teaching instead of staying in the places we can reliably keep an eye on them, like congressional offices and prestige law firms.
Think that @MittRomney could get to 218 and only allow house business that had a sponsor on both sides of the aisle? The speaker doesn’t have to be a sitting representative #McCarthy#Speakerofthehouse
The Democratic Party has more than enough room for flakiness, thin skin, and shameless catering to the donor class. I’d rather #Sinema not sully the reputation of independents
These midterm election results really reinforce my decision to move from blue Michigan to the important swing state of New York #Midterms2022#Hochul#NewYork
@TheSporkful Agreed, but I think the moral of this story is that men who propose unfunded tax cuts for the rich probably SHOULD be chased out so quickly, and with such fervor and glee
