🚨 BREAKING NEWS OUT OF LAX!

A DHL Boeing 737-800(BDSF), operated by Kalitta Charters II as flight KII1814 from Phoenix, appears to have experienced a brake lockup upon landing, resulting in an explosion and tire fire.

The aircraft is currently still on Runway 25L as emergency crews respond.

The head of the FAA tells me America’s air traffic controllers aren’t getting their retroactive pay raise because the agency wants “to unlock more productivity” from workers.

Meanwhile: Air travel is at its highest level in history. Air traffic control towers are using equipment from the 1980s and paper strips to track flights. There are far too few air traffic controllers. They often work 6 days. They work incredibly stressful jobs. They get blamed by airlines for delays that are, in fact, not their fault. Their union has not even commented to us, leaving them to advocate for themselves.
