Rishi Sunak went to California to meet US healthcare bosses. Once they get their hands on the NHS, he'll send the cheques out any time they like, and they'll never leave.
Thoughts with everyone in the London Ambulance Service, who tonight are down by almost 100 ambulances because nearly 400 staff are off sick with Covid.
Thoughts most of all with sick patients.
I'm appalled @BorisJohnson isn't taking decisive action.

BREAKING: Turns out Rishi Sunak didn't bugger off to California for a holiday after all. Well, he did stay at his holiday home, but you'll be reassured to know that while he was there, he was negotiating the takeover of the NHS by the worst health service in the developed world x
The Financial Times says that while he was in California this week Rishi Sunak failed to attend a roundtable discussion with the UK hospitality sector. Treasury insiders said - and I kid you not - that the meeting clashed with a scheduled call with *US healthcare bosses*.
Neoliberal economic policies of the UK govt have increased social tensions and have failed to energise the economy. They have impoverished people and turned town centres into economic deserts.’
We can't afford The Tories.

The Tory Party delivered us the catastrophe of Boris Johnson. They feted him and celebrated him and rejoiced in the division he sowed. They are to blame. They have zero moral authority and cannot be permitted to choose again. When they oust him, there must be a fresh election.
Increase in UK state pension age to 68 could come eight years early.
Poor die earlier. Work will kill many more. Millions will not not receive pension for long. Rich live longer. The change will result in huge wealth transfer from poor to the rich.

Sajid Javid and George Osborne put pressure on UK financial regulator to reduce compensation payouts from big banks to small business victims of a mis-selling scandal.

The UK's class divide - Since 2019, disposable income of the poorest 50% shrank by £110, the richest 5% gained £3,300 a year. More to come - govt cut Universal Credit, froze personal allowances. increased national insurance and suspended the triple-lock

UK firms taking taxpayer-backed Covid loans continued donations to Tory party. They didn't need public money but took it because it was cheap, and sent a message to workers - don't expect a pay rise. Meanwhile, Tory coffers continued to be filled.

This morning please spare a thought for NHS staff who - at exactly the same time you did - found out last night from @BorisJohnson they’d be delivering 1 million boosters a day from… today.
A pre-recorded address from Boris Johnson is a desperate attempt to use COVID to distract from the crises enveloping his premiership and avoid any scrutiny. Absolutely pathetic.
