This week, after final assessments, weight and measurements Lefty was released by the Atlantis team near Green Cay, where a local green turtle population call home.

On July 19, Atlantis Paradise Island heeded a call of action to assist an injured green sea turtle that was found near Abaco, Bahamas.

“Lefty” as he was affectionately named by Atlantis' rescue and rehabilitative team went through a procedure to address his injuries. Over the course of several months' lefty bounced back to health due to the special care at Atlantis and proved to their team that he was ready.
