One of the earliest comics I can remember reading was a reprint of this classic confrontation between Spider-man (with a sprained arm) and the Lizard. Since then, John Romita Sr.'s iconic depiction of the webhead has been how I've always seen him. RIP to another great legend.
I have been writing consistently every morning. I'm also taking some online classes on planning a Kickstarter, learning and practicing 3 hours' worth of songs for a show in June, all while working a full-time job. Feel like these are going to be the best years of my life.
This is not a drill! This is happening!
After much musing over the years about there being potential for an anime adaptation of ‘Scott Pilgrim’, I’m thrilled to say one is IMMINENT, with the whole cast back together and… you are going to lose your minds.
Also, if you haven't already, please follow my band @drowningleo Our next gig is on June 9, with more shows booked for September, October, and November (working on booking some more summer dates). Thanks!
This all seems to still be here, so I'm back, Twitter. Also, I have a comic to promote and other things coming up, so regardless of anything, I'll be here there and everywhere. #writerslife#indiecomics#makecomics
What I got going on this year:
- Working on my singing with a vocal coach
- Marketing plan for my new comic
- Band practice every Sunday
- 3 to 5 mile runs every morning
- Rewriting my first novel from scratch
- Starting my MFA in Creative Writing
Just in case this whole thing blows up, just want to say it has been fun (for the most part). You can all find me on Mastodon (@[email protected]). I'll be updating https://t.co/iuBqvBBDWJ as well with all my socials including all current writing/music projects.
The band and I before the show started. It was a lot of fun. We've only been playing together a few months, so still some rough edges to work out, some confidence to build up, and more original songs to include. All in all, we did great and had a blast.
For years, I have said that Kevin Conroy was the "one true Batman". His voice is what I have always heard in my head when I read Batman comics. He was legendary. RIP
