I know it’s hard for you to imagine genuine people who genuinely value and implement traditional values in their lives because you just pretended to but there are millions of us. You were LARPing. We are not. The 1950’s model is the surface descriptor that some traditionalists use. You’re going to find that the Wilson’s point out tons of problems with the 50’s. They advocate for an entire societal shift to ancient Christian values, not an aesthetic that you adopted. I’ve studied as a Protestant for 25yrs and learned of orthodoxy two years ago. I’ve seen nothing but L’s from prots when the two go toe to toe. The issue is prots have redefined so many terms in protest of Catholicism that when confronted with pre 1054 theology their worldview crumbles into pearl clutching and sola scriptura which only can produce endless schisms and cannot be Jesus’s church that the gates of hell cannot prevail against. From worldview to normative authority to fruit it’s been extremely eye opening for me to the point where I don’t even know what to call myself other than a man who is loyal to Jesus Christ and definitely not a Protestant anymore.
