@_invertedwinger As if both players are the Messi. On the ball, Messi can do everything: distribute, create, dribble, score. The other guy can only shoot. You want Portugal to make CR7 better with no regards to team performance. Messi is actually making Argentina better.
When you watch Argentina, you really get the sense that there's 9 other outfield players running at 150% off the ball to compensate for Messi. They want to do it.
I just don't see that with Portugal. Players like Neto who should accept their role in that context aren't even running at 100%. They're probably thinking 'it's only DR Congo' but you can't get away with that.

CRISTIANO RONALDOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OPENS THE SCORING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OF COURSE ITS HIM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mbappé is inevitably going to end up as the World Cup’s all-time top scorer.
But he might have to wait another 4 years, because some old man in Argentina is still refusing to pass the torch
Messi's hat trick is literally the worst thing that could’ve happened to Portugal.
Now Ronaldo is going to go into obsession mode and that could hurt the team.
🚨 OFFICIAL: Barcelona statement.
“The president of FC Barcelona, Rafael Yuste y Abel, today sent a formal letter to the presidents of LaLiga, Javier Tebas; of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Rafael Louzán; and the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA), Francisco Soto, in relation to the statements made by the president of Real Madrid CF, Florentino Pérez, in various public appearances on May 12 and 13.
FC Barcelona considers that these statements, in addition to being false, seriously violate the honorability and image of the League competition in the First Division, as well as against the refereeing system in its entirety, and damage the reputation and credibility of Spanish professional football.
The Club urges the co-organizers of the competition and the referees to defend the reputation of their bodies - just as the Club has recently done with the filing of the request for conciliation - and asks the recipient entities, within the scope of their respective competences, to urgently adopt the appropriate associative and judicial measures against Mr. Pérez to defend the honorability, integrity and prestige of the institutions they represent and the competitions they organize”.
I really don't care if Ronaldo gets 1 goal in this world cup, I just want Portugal to win the cup even if it means he gets carried by Bruno and Co
He's spent about half of his career carrying his teammates, it's his time to be carried
