We are just out of Owen, South Australia, on about 3000 acres and we use the Atom-Jet paired row opener on our John Deere bar. We are in our third year of running this opener and it’s showing very little signs of wear. What we like about them is the way they cut through the soil and not throw as much, as opposed to bulldozing the soil like our previous openers did. Our country is mainly heavy loam, with sandy loam further south. Our old openers would leave the paddock looking like corrugated iron with no flat spots in between the rows, now with the Atom-Jets they cut better and we have flat spot in between rows making a much better field finish. Seed placement is a lot better as well, it actually cuts a shelf for the seed to sit on, most brands advertise how the seed is placed but results vary, the Atom-Jets actually do what they advertise with consistent seed placement. #Agriculture #Farming #Farmingsolutions #CustomerStory
