I didn’t know him well. 1st met him when Rohan Chandran visited Pune in ’20, then kept bumping into him at book launches, PYC — shared interests!

I remember him hosting @cricinfo founders’ podcast. Having witnessed Cricinfo’s genesis, it was nostalgic.

Travel well, @Gautaamm.

[Atul Thombre @AtoolT]

@Gautaamm Had a pleasure of meeting few of them in January!!

@neeran @rohan_chandran @Gautaamm

[Atul Thombre @AtoolT]

@SHEKARSUSHEEL Ahhhaa!! Now the fun starts... I was waiting for you to get to Shankar-Jaikishan. I can point out at least 10 superhit #Chaand songs composed by that pair

@neeran @aparanjape @gulu1959 "...opens new tab" is probably a textual interpretation of that little arrow pointing to north-east next to the URL.

Karsan Ghavri 😂😂👌👌

[Atul Thombre @AtoolT]

@aparanjape Never owned it... but used it many times... every time I stayed in a hotel in US in 90s

[Atul Thombre @AtoolT]

@sparkhi That's a normal reaction when you don't learn 'table of 29' by heart in school 😂

[Atul Thombre @AtoolT]

@GodboleSandeep आमच्याकडे कोळाचे पोहे नारळाचे दूध (कोळ) घालून करतात

[Atul Thombre @AtoolT]

@neeran @gauravsabnis Why wouldn't just "बाहेर" work? 🤔

[Atul Thombre @AtoolT]

@sparkhi अहो… पण ते कणभर (KB) १९९० च्या दशकात मणभर होते त्याचे काय? 😂😂

[Atul Thombre @AtoolT]

@neeran I was on the 6th floor terrace for Pickle ball league party. The match was being telecast live there as well

[Atul Thombre @AtoolT]

@neeran The issues mentioned in your post is the reason I have decided never to watch an IPL match at Gahunje Stadium

[Atul Thombre @AtoolT]

@supriyasahuias @sureshwii Amazing it is..... paths are 100s of kms apart, maybe 400-500kms apart at some point... wondering what could be the deciding factors?

Maybe a YOY study may throw more interesting insights

[Atul Thombre @AtoolT]

There was a time, on RSC (https://t.co/jYAtVcWK8b) group, when answer to any cricket related quiz question used to be Stewart Law, given sarcastically, of course. In this case, it's the right answer

#rec_sport_cricket #90s #thosewhoknow

[Cricinfo @cricinfo]

He played 54 ODIs, but just the one Test...

Incidentally, it was the last test at Brabourne Stadium for a while. The next test in Mumbai was at newly built Wankhede Stadium in 1975, against WI team lead by Clive Lloyd.

[Atul Thombre @AtoolT]

I watched (most likely) the first cricket match telecast live in India. It was between England and India at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai in 1974. Only the last session on 5th day was telecast live. I Remember Derek Underwood bowling in the mandatory overs.

[Rajiv @Rajiv1841]

What year did you start watching cricket?

Be honest.

[Atul Thombre @AtoolT]

@neeran Is it a real Gym? Looks like a clone :-)

[Atul Thombre @AtoolT]

@neeran Well, at least the second function for adding 3 numbers is optimised 😂

[Atul Thombre @AtoolT]
