π Lot 1149 TABDEED by HAVANA GOLD (@Tweenhills), who is a Gr.3 winner and rated 108, sold for 110,000gns @Tattersalls1766 Autumn HIT Sale. The 6yo gelding was offered at the sale by @ShadwellStud and was bought by RB Bloodstock. #ReadAllAboutIt@BritishEBF
Four wins from 11 starts for Canonized this year and a deserved Stakes victory. The Haggas first 2yo runner trend stands up once again. π
Absolutely adored her dam, Sainted, who was sold for just 20,000gns last year - what a bargain @OStLawrence@fbarberini ππΌ
Wheel this out every year but worth following: Haggas nominated five 2yos for priority last June & the four who ran that month all won, including Sacred who continued the first runner trend. Canonized is provisionally jocked up & could be his first juvenile runner on Wednesday.
Ametist was disappointing at York LTO. Held-up, he was never travelling & thus never involved. Hopefully reverts to prominent tactics as this race should suit with cheek-pieces now enlisted. 7/8 places 25-28/1.
Power Of Darkness is a wild price at 80/1 (7pl) as well.
A slowly-run Bunbury Cup didnβt play to Ametistβs strengths LTO but hopeful of more to come now racing over a mile at York (3:00) tomorrow. Those factors combined with fast ground & the likely strong pace & itβs hard to see him out of the frame here despite his wide berth. π€πΌ
Main worry is the ground but the rain averages out over the course of the year. Would have no worries about no prep for Addeybb, goes well fresh anyway & Haggas one of the best at readying them off a break.
Going to be some double when Baaeed stuffs PP in the QEII as well. π
Addeybb is a fantastic each-way bet for the Champion Stakes. The rain will come in October & anything on G/S or slower is fine. Won the race last year & has beaten Mishriff on both occasions they have met, including when winning this last year. General 6s, but 8s still about.
Only a matter of time before SMB is retired. If todayβs article is to be believed, then they will be hard pressed to ready him for the race in just 24 days, & what does he have to prove now other than tarnishing his winning run. Adayar, Snowfall & PP all unlikely runners too.
Also had a small nibble on SB for the Cesarewitch at 33/1. He was sixth in the 2018 renewal, running a huge race having overcome a wide draw (32) & racing in last for the first half of the race.
Hopefully retribution awaits Speedo Boy in the Mallard (3:15) at Donny tomorrow. Shouldβve won the 2018 renewal but for a nightmare run, with trouble in-running starting well before the clip below begins. Heβs 6lb lower tomorrow but has been as good as ever this season.
Now three from three at this distance! Just In Time lands the William Hill Mallard Handicap over 1m6f for trainer Alan King and jockey Martin Harley at @DoncasterRaces:
The 7yo is versatile in regards to the ground so any forecast rain wonβt be a problem. Very hard to see him out of the places on his current run of form, unlucky not to record back-to-back wins at Nottingham on his penultimate start, leading everywhere bar the line.
Sunset Bay (18/1) is an interesting runner at Donny (3:25) today. The race developed into a sprint at Newbury LTO which made catching Aratus (won again since) a tough ask, but she is on a clear upward curve & yard in flying form. Hopefully go close. π€πΌ
Baaeed hasnβt done a tap once in front but has destroyed them from the 2f-1f pole despite racing keenly. He will beat Palace Pier in the QEII & then take all before him next year. π
Really hope he can progress into that bracket of Frankel, STS etcπ€πΌ
Wonβt be missed next time, of course, but a hugely impressive debut from Baaeed. With the visuals backed up with the fastest final 3f split of any horse on the entire Leicester card. Fellow debutant Night Hunter may be the one to go under the radar with lots to build on there.
How about this for debut success?!
Slowest away, Baaeed (Sea The Stars) comes from a mile back only for this brother to Hukum to score snugly at the line for William Haggas at @LeicesterRaces @ShadwellStud
It's official - Baaeed is an βοΈ
What a performance from the unbeaten William Haggas-trained son of Sea The Stars - just how good could this one be? π

Not sure Treacherous should be 3x the price of Able Kane in the next (2:15) at Goodwood. I think heβd have been placed in the Stewardsβ consolation here two starts ago but was stopped in his tracks at the 2f pole before having to switch around rivals and ending any chance.
Treacherous (stall 18) ran a good race at Ascot today. Travelled strongly but just flattened out late on & likely better suited over an easier 6f. Definitely capable of winning off 88 & will be of particular interest if/when he heads back to Goodwood.
He was unlucky to be chinned last time out at Windsor and while the 3lb rise for that is not ideal, thereβs every reason to suggest he should go close again back at his favourite turf track on quick ground.
