@robinmonotti Hi @robinmonotti - interesting article. if you were to only analyze the dead space CO2, they are correct. Unfortunately, the human body likes 5% etCO2. there is a physiological shift that happens where the body will increase the ventilatory rate to lower inhaled CO2 to 5% by vol

@SoDakMarko I'm not aware of any long-term studies linking cancer and respirators, though it's probably underresearched. The study's conclusion seems reasonable. The question is whether TiO2 will be inhaled.

Wouldn't expect issues w/o (improper) long-term re-use, but no data to back that up

Just saying - you should start a DAO to purchase the tech from them. We'll help you on the design front.

This is why I'm kind of defending @Razer - They might have solved those problems. I hope so. Comms are an important part of everyday life.
Perhaps with some simple design modifications, they could get it certified for teachers, nurses, and special needs councilors/students.

The @Razer is for "everyday" walking around, go to the store, all while having a tech gadget strapped to your face. Perhaps if they posted their @Intertek results, it would help make an informed opinion. 2/2

@RealSexyCyborg @ghhughes @Razer @envomaskusa With respect Ms. Naomi - you're comparing apples to oranges. The @envomaskusa is used by hospitals, in manufacturing centers and the like. It is an occupationally worn item of PPE.
The @Razer is for the "fashion" forward crowd that want a "hi-tech" mask. It's very bougie. 1/

@ghhughes @RealSexyCyborg @Razer There have been ISO 900x certified companies that fail the NIOSH QA inspection.
The other piece of this - This respirator is not meant for industrial applications. Therefore, NIOSH won't certify it. NIOSH is for OCCUPATIONAL Safety and Health (Coal miners, Welders, etc). 4/
