2032 C/Corners, Buzz Gold 12u, 71 mph max bat speed, 77 mph max exit velo, 62 mph max OH throwing, 5’8”. I train at @DA_Waco, Midway LL Texas West State champs!
I’m starting to get some barrels at 100mph. It’s been 3 weeks of doing these baseball rounds 3x per week, better every week! The older balls in the bucket add some difficulty, they are a little slower and crazy movement. I about got folded on the last one.
Also, shout out to @CamWoodBats. I’m using my new 34/26 AMB bat decked out in @BuzzCentex colors. One more workout tomorrow and then a travel day to Hot Springs for the @DiamondLegacyEv Diamond State Invitational!

I finally got some time to get back with coach BJ to work speed and agility. A few more weeks of volleyball and I’ll be back on a regular schedule with him.
This is dad responding: I’ve thought about that and I think this method is the first step towards recognizing elite pitches. What I mean by that is that when you look at research on pitch recognition, the first 1/3 of pitch flight is when you determine location. The second 1/3 is when you determine speed and pitch type. At the 2/3 mark, your brain can make a good decision on making a swing. If we can train her cognitive system to make an elite fastball recognizable in the normal process and have the quickness to deliver the barrel, she has the prerequisite to start recognizing pitch types. If you are having to cheat to get to the elite fastball, you have no chance at recognizing other pitches.
I’m still contemplating the next steps but I think the bottom line is she has be in the box seeing the elite pitchers to learn pitch recognition. The 100mph from 60’6” is the equivalent of 65mph at 40’. We saw 2 12u pitchers throwing that hard last spring. This video shows her still a little late on 65-66mph. I think she needs to get better at being on deck to get in rhythm loading early but this velocity is tough when you only see it live a few at bats per season.
63 mph off the Jugs is feeling real comfortable. A month of training with @VizualEdge and working with the baseball hack attack at 100mph is really helping my visual and cognitive system process information faster.
After media day I got about 100 swings in off the @personalpitcher in my uniform. The skinny bat and small balls really help my contact quality. I finished the evening with my @vizualedge training. It gets harder every week to do the drills they challenge me with.
4 more days and we take the field in Oklahoma in the @DiamondLegacyEv Sooner!

It was a long hard day of weightlifting, volleyball, conditioning, and finished the night hitting. Focusing here on seeing the inside 60-61mph fastball and the face wins the race to contact zone. 10 days until we take the field ! @Buzz_2032@BuzzCentex
