I strongly condemn the abduction of Standard Media Group's Associate Editor Alex Kiprotich. Taking a journalist by force is a dangerous abuse of power and a direct threat to press freedom. Kenya must never become a country where journalists are made to disappear for speaking truth to power.
I demand that Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen and the National Police Service release Alex immediately, safely and unharmed. Those responsible must be held accountable. State power must protect Kenyans, not terrorise them.

STATEMENT: Alex Kiprotich’s abduction, days after President Ruto said no Kenyan should lose their liberty or dignity for expressing an opinion, raises serious concerns for media freedom.
We call for an independent investigation and accountability for those responsible. Journalists must be free to work without fear of abduction or reprisals.

Very unfortunate! 😳
This is how Alex, an Associate Editor at Standard Media, was reportedly abducted.
Honestly, where are we heading as a country? We are slowly becoming a nation where people can allegedly be picked up, disappeared, and citizens are left asking questions with little accountability.
And now, why are they seemingly forcing journalists to campaign for them? I have seen several already singing “TUTAM” live on TV and radio.
Kasongo may think he can force Kenyans to sing to his tune, but wananchi have their own voices, their own choices, and the right to decide who they support.
You cannot force Kenyans to sing your song.
There’s a revolution unfolding in Kenya.
We are putting an end to;
-looting of our tax monies
-grabbing of our land
-illegal extraction of our minerals
-subversion of our freedoms and shared liberties
-trashing of our sovereignty
-debt enslavement to the IMF & World Bank
Get up off your knees let's get free.
These ones died coz ni mamako akona freedom of CONSTITUTION kwa shpoto yake?
2. Families are suffering because a public figure is endorsing mediocrity
Why not tell Obina, “hey bro, hapa urongo”
It behooves his generation to STAND UP TO FACTS, if he cares about his Family
