Yesterday was a powerful night in Macon as Georgia’s first scheduled gubernatorial debate of the general election season brought statewide politics to Middle Georgia.

Thank you to Keisha Lance Bottoms for showing up, engaging the community, and answering questions directly.

But one question remains for Rick Jackson:

Why did you choose not to show up?

Instead, your campaign sent a limousine stunt and protesters to the event. Middle Georgia voters deserved the opportunity to hear directly from both candidates.

Debates are about more than candidates. They are about voters having access to the people asking for their vote.

Middle Georgia showed up.

The question is: **Why didn’t Rick Jackson?**
