No one should go to work wondering if they will make it home safely to their family. ๐

This August Long Weekend, we honour the incredible legacy of Terry Foxโa Canadian hero whose courage, determination, and selflessness continue to inspire generations. As communities celebrate Terry Fox Day, let's remember that one person's perseverance can change the world.
๐จThe Canadian government wants to make it easier for companies to keep wages low and harder for workers to push back, by weakening the right to strike and collectively bargain.
Not on our watch. Send a message to the government now. https://t.co/zNV8ZZDGF4

Another big organizing win for the ATU, as 95 workers performing shuttle work at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport overwhelmingly voted to join our Local 1328-Raleigh, NC. Congratulations to our Local 1328 and our newest members of our ATU family! #OurVoiceOurPower
Itโs Dรฉjร vu in Jackson, Mississippi, with ATU International President John Costa on the ground as our Local 1208 JTRAN members went out on strike against contractor MV Transportation for the second time in less than 2 years.
โWe know MV Transportation and its anti-union tactics well. Once again, they have shown that all they care about is making a profit on the backs of workers. Our members are on strike because MV Transportation refuses to treat them fairly and continues to engage in unlawful activities,โ said Costa. โThey are paying inexperienced scabs $50 per hour to drive buses, threatening safety and service. Why not come to the table to get this deal done to end the strike now? Until then, we will Hold the Line just like we did in 2024.โ
The Mississippi Labor community and allies joined Costa on the picket lines to show solidarity with our JTRAN members.
These are workers who keep Jackson moving. Every route. Every stop. Every rider who depends on the bus. This isnโt workers versus riders. Itโs workers fighting for their community. Because they ARE the community. We will stand with Local 1208 until MV Transportation comes to the table and gets this done. #OurVoiceOurPower
