CA3 followed the constitutional path, reached every province, and gave citizens a platform to be heard. The people have spoken, and the process is moving forward. #CA3ZVAENDWA#Vision2030@Bete263@doctlove2@LindaDadisoM
The Second Reading of Constitution Amendment No. 3 presents a compelling case for constitutional reform aimed at strengthening governance, promoting national stability, and accelerating development. The Bill clearly distinguishes between extending a term of office and altering term limits, while proposing structural reforms designed to reduce perpetual electioneering and create a longer horizon for planning and implementation of national projects. By seeking to foster consensus-based leadership, strengthen institutional efficiency, and provide Government with adequate time to deliver on development goals, CA3 reflects a forward-looking approach to nation-building. Constitutional democracies evolve to meet changing realities, and this Bill offers Zimbabwe an opportunity to build a more stable, accountable, and development-focused future. #CA3 #DevelopmentFirst #BuildingZimbabweConstitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 3) Bill, 2026: Second Reading https://t.co/LThlWTwwia
The message from ordinary citizens is simple: keep building, keep developing, keep moving forward. CA3 is about ensuring long term progress and national development.
Traditional leaders are citizens too. Clause 21 restores their constitutional rights while keeping accountability and community service at the centre. #CA3#Clause21Traditional leaders are citizens too. @NewsHawksLive Tendai Biti is entitled to his opinion, but he does not speak for all Zimbabweans. Constitutional reform is being debated in Parliament, the institution mandated by the Constitution to make such decisions. #CA3
The Constitution allows for constitutional amendments. CA3 is being debated through the legal parliamentary process established by the Constitution itself. Disagreement is democratic, but calling a constitutional process "unconstitutional" without legal basis is politics, not law. The debate should focus on the content of CA3, not misinformation. #CA3ZVAENDWA #Vision2030
Well said. Leadership requires faith in people, even when experience teaches caution. Trust is not weakness—it is the foundation of nation-building, dialogue, and progress. That is why many of us support #CA3 Democracy is not weakened when elected representatives make decisions in Parliament it is democracy being exercised through the mandate given by the people. #SupportCA3 it is rooted in strengthening institutions, promoting stability, and creating conditions for long-term development. A nation moves forward when its people choose confidence over fear and constructive engagement over perpetual suspicion. #CA3 #DevelopmentFirst #GodIsInIt #Vision2030

A lot of the confusion around CA3 comes from treating term length and term limits as if they are the same thing. They are not. Extending the duration of future terms does not automatically increase the number of terms anyone can serve.
@Bete263@bashi92178@D_Masango1ce@Tererai89
The opposition are just arguing without giving themselves ample time to understand the difference between term length and term limit .In their brains they are not getting it that the serving president right now is not going to benefit from the two more years being extended but the next seating candidate .All the slogan they make is that the bill was done for personal benefits where as its everyone as a nation.
Its high time we should clear up the debate that has been speculating around the #Ca3 .Term length and term limit have been the most debated issues .
Let's start with the Term length :
It is how long a single term will last in an office ,and #Ca3 is proposing for a change from 5 years to 7 years which is very reasonable why ,this allows projects to be done and be completed ,let's be honest and realistic 5 years construction projects will not be completed .
We moving on to Term limit , simply specify how many terms a person can serve. Ca3 is not changing the constitutional limit on how many terms a person may serve in the office .

CA3 can help promotes Stability and productivity by allowing government institutions to focus on policy implementation, project management, and service delivery. Greater continuity can support the planning, execution, and completion of long-term national development projects while maintaining parliamentary oversight and accountability.
CA3 is about creating a stable governance environment where attention is directed towards development, productivity, and delivering results. With greater continuity in leadership and planning, national projects can be managed more efficiently and completed on schedule for the benefit of citizens.
@cdfzim@BitiTendai@freemanchaA meeting in Leicester does not speak for 16 million Zimbabweans. Constitutional amendments are decided by Parliament, not by slogans abroad. #CA3
When opposition MPs support CA3 on the floor of Parliament, it shows that #CA3 is about policy and constitutional reform, not just partisan politics. Good ideas can attract support from both sides of the aisle.#Vision2030

#CAB3 Zvaendwa ‼️
Several opposition legislators have expressed support for the Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3 (CAB3) during ongoing debate in the National Assembly, signalling growing consensus on key aspects of the proposed constitutional changes. Members from both ZANU PF and opposition parties contributed to the discussions, highlighting the Bill’s potential to strengthen governance, improve administrative efficiency and align constitutional provisions with national development objectives.
CCC legislators Ms Samantha Mureyani, Mr Vusumuzi Moyo and Ms Juliana Makuvire were among those who backed various provisions of the Bill, including proposals for Parliament to elect the President, extending the electoral cycle and transferring voter registration responsibilities to the Registrar General’s Office. Lawmakers supporting the Bill argued that the measures would reduce election-related costs, promote political stability, enhance accountability and improve service delivery. Debate on CAB3 is expected to continue this Tuesday 10 June as Parliament further scrutinises the proposed amendments before the legislative process moves to its next stage....🐊✊
