We can imagine that a bonsai tree endures a particularly frustrating and painful existence for a plant. All it wants is to grow upwards, towards the sun. And yet at every turn it is stifled, tied down and forced to grow in a different direction, trimmed and groomed to be something other than what it would grow naturally to be.
And yet, because of this process, it becomes a work of art in the end, widely admired for its unique beauty, standing out from all other trees.
And maybe that's what we all are. The difficulties we face in our life, while often painful, force us to grow in a way that we wouldn't otherwise, under "ideal" conditions. And so we become unique works of art just the same, shaped by our struggle, but all the better for it, if we choose to find and embrace the gifts have we received as a result.
@DurvidImel@JoshuaRileyDev Curious what your thoughts on Brave are? I loved arc, then went to zen after arc hit eol, and Brave is a perfect (less buggy) replacement for me. Only thing it is missing is automatic mini player on tab switch.
A cultural reset is needed.
Everything is in disarray. It used to be an honor to get posted and a write up in a blog. Now you just pay for it. Even if it's ass they'll share it. There's nothing genuine about it any of it. Our hip hop media barely post music. It's all gossip and messy shit. The amount of negativity being consumed is disgusting. We're cultivating really nasty spaces for artists and fans to exist.
