23일 세브란스병원은 제중관 1층에서 자폐스펙트럼장애 소아청소년 치료를 위한 ‘민윤기 치료센터’ 착공식을 열었다.

이곳에서는 언어, 심리, ��동 치료 등 소아청소년의 정신 건강을 지원하고, 임상과 연구를 연계한 다양한 프로그램을 운영할 예정이다.

슈가는 방탄소년단 활동 중에도 꾸준한 나눔 활동과 함께 정신 건강, 심리·행동 문제, 특히 청소년 우울증에 지속적인 관심을 가져왔다고 한다. 그는 음악이라는 본인의 재능과 역량을 통해 도움을 줄 방법을 모색해왔다.

자폐스펙트럼장애 증상에 긍정적인 변화를 주기 위해서는 10년 이상 중장기적으로 치료를 지원할 수 있는 특화 치료센터 건립이 필요하다는 점에 공감해 세브란스병원에 50억원의 기부 의사를 밝혔다.

세브란스 어린이병원은 물론 연세의료원 전체를 통틀어 아티스트가 전한 기부금으로는 역대 최고액이다.
