Teachers from Alliance Girls are claiming they get offended every time the "Teachers Dubai trip" is mentioned.
They confirm that there was indeed a budgetary allocation of Ksh 25 million for the trip, which students actually paid for. However, instead of going to Dubai, they ended up enjoying what was presented as the luxurious Dubai experience through an SGR trip to Mombasa.
Many of the teachers say they only learned about the existence of the Dubai budget through the Ministry memo. Since then, they have been wondering whether Dubai had quietly relocated to Mombasa without informing anyone.
They are now hoping that once the Principal "fully" returns, the school can finally proceed with the long-awaited actual trip to Dubai. Otherwise, they suggest that the extra money should be refunded to the students, including those who have already left the school.
