But they are unstable and often unsustainable, so, as an understatement, there is a lot to said for the further understanding of feedback loops for balance, not just growth and gain. :)
There is a lot of power in positive reinforcing feedback loops especially; they create through growth and destruction and people are constantly trying to evoke them.
