Elvie is a junior at @ASU @ASU_SCETL, minoring in Studio Art. She currently serves as an officer for the Student Assembly and previously interned with the Great Hearts Institute (@GreatHeartsAcad), where she helped coordinate the 2026 National Symposium on Classical Education — an event drawing over 900 attendees.

Elvie has a strong passion for civic and classical education, literature, history, and law.

Her unique blend of leadership and creative talent makes her an excellent addition to the AUL team this summer in Washington, D.C.

IMPERFECT PROGRESS: AUL's @ClarkeForsythe was quoted in @PublicDiscourse making a strong case for prudential incrementalism in the pro-life movement, especially after Dobbs.

Drawing from Pope John Paul II in Evangelium Vitae, Forsythe argues that voting for a law that only partially restricts abortion is not complicit in evil. It is a legitimate effort to limit the harm of abortion when a full ban isn’t feasible.

Clarke argues that an all-or-nothing strategy is self-defeating. True prudence means using whatever political ground is available now to limit abortion, save lives, and maintain momentum — rather than allowing the perfect to become the enemy of the good.

In Politics for the Greatest Good: The Case for Prudence in the Public Square, @ClarkeForsythe explained why the movement should continue to reject the advice of those who claim that “imperfect” abortion laws are counterproductive and complicit in the evil of abortion. Against the complicity claim, Forsythe invoked Pope John Paul in Evangelium Vitae: “When it is not possible to overturn or completely abrogate a pro-abortion law,” proposing a law that only partly abrogates it “does not in fact represent an illicit cooperation with an unjust law, but rather a legitimate and proper attempt to limit its evil aspects.”
