📖 CASE STUDY

A buyer looking to replace an old car trusted a dealer introduced through a friend. Based on assurances that the vehicle was recently imported and in good condition, payments totaling ₦10 million were made.

When the car was delivered, several serious issues were discovered — dashboard error lights, non-functional systems, and repairs that had clearly been done on the vehicle. After the car was returned for repairs, the promised features still did not work.

Further investigation revealed that the car had actually been in Nigeria much longer than originally stated.

When concerns were raised, the situation escalated into pressure and threats, and the matter was eventually reported to authorities where it is currently under investigation.
