Record breaking rainfall in the #Goldfields in the wake of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Blake. Carnegie recorded the wettest 24hr total since records began in 1942 of 270mm. This is close to 1 in 1000 year 24hr rainfall event (275mm).
Social media is going mad on consistently blaming and pointing fingers. Instead of voicing my opinion and whinging, I went and helped put out the fire. If all the keyboard warriors and media did the same Australia would be a better place by now.
Crossbred ewes 18 months - $402 at Naracoorte !!! Old cows print money, cotton crop this year 700 to 800 thousand bales-last year 2 million plus, Sugar sour, wool zig-zags again-grains steady, rain rain rain - where are you?
Why can't we get ryegrass genetics into wheat and barley?? 338 tillers on a single plant, hasn't had a decent rain for weeks but still healthy and happy with a very small root system growing in the yard with a soil structure similar to concrete.

If we can survive this, LOOK OUT! I reckon we can survive just about anything!!
The country and stock are in amazing condition, all things considered & we should all be very proud of that 👏
Increasing number of grain growers pushing the hay button or giving livestock a treat as heat & drought smash winter crops - live exports gangbusters ex Townsville, lambs remain hot property, wool stays on top & sugar is as sour as a bag of lemons - #landline

I think they'll be many farms with seed cleaner | seperators as part of the grain dryer setup in 5 years. The efficiency | profit will be there....just comes down to the insurance | subsidies on it's adoptability....unfortunately.
The future of calf housing? Too many of us keeping calves in big cold concrete sheds, solar energy can benefit dairy bred calves! Fantastic looking set up
@Donna_Edge_@severs_jeanette I understand the price is high, as the entire fodder market is. However, the feedback on quality has been entirely positive. Thanks Donna
