There’s only so much work you can do on yourself when you’re tucked away from society. The next level of the work is being around people or getting into a relationship and keeping that same energy.
Respectfully..your dad doing you mom dirty don’t make you feel some type of way or looks at him any different? Messing up the family dynamic and all? Ain’t part of being a good father taking care of your family? Treating your wife right?
i get why ppl are scared of vulnerability and risks in love but nobody will ever convince me that gushy, warm lovey dovey feeling when shit lines up isn’t worth it. it’s a risk i’m gonna take every time i simply will not stop
There’s a particular type of sadness you feel when you catch up with someone you miss and realize that the version of them you were once friends with doesn’t exist anymore. You won't ever find the same person twice, not even in the same person.
Isn't it weird that when someone treats us horribly that we doubt ourselves instead of doubting…. THEM? Doubt the connection. How great could THEY really be they make you feel sad, confused and frustrated all the time. Are they good for you? Are they worth it? Doubt it.
Y’all can’t have no full, complete and uninterrupted peace unless you get your needs met.
You need a great mindset toward shit.
You need money.
You need food.
You need shelter.
You need friends/community.
You need support.
You need growth.
These are needs.
my parents have been happily married for 30 years + from what I’ve gathered, they owe it to:
1) having separate bathrooms
2) being each other’s biggest fans
3) when my mom was sad that my dad wasn’t typing “ok” with a heart emoji he started adding them
