Hot take: Time travel exists and is currently being used by people in the future, but through a method of conscious hijacking and not physically time traveling. This would allow people to direct events or information without the people they are hijacking being consciously aware of what is happening/has taken place.

We already know that we can digitally preserve a fruit fly & with time and scale could digitally preserve a human brain and quite possibly, conscousness. Now, couple that with quantum computing & quantum conscousness theories and its not too far fetched to think this is already happening in the future & effecting us today. If you think about time travel the way its been presented to us in pop culture & media, we think of physically transporting someome through space & time to somewhere in the past or future. Now, forget about time travel for a moment.. just teleporting a human from point 'A' to point 'B' has complications. Not so much on the sending as it is on the receiving. Think the terminators arrival in "The Terminator" and the atmospheric displacement upon arrival. It would cause an "arrival scar" on the environment, there would be a shockwave/explosion (which is why it worked for him being a machine, but for all the humans in the later movies they would have experienced burning of the skin & disorientation as a minimum), and also the energy requirement for moving physical mass. Essentially, it would be like dropping mini bombs in each location someone traveled to. So yeah, time travel through conscousness is definitely more feasible than physically time traveling. Just a thought I had this morning.

Better tech means more money,
More money means more rails,
More rails means more trains,
More trains means more speed,
More speed means more power,
More power means more energy production.
As soon as energy production < power, it will be cheaper to upgrade the system than to build a new one. Focus is shifting to energy requirements to maintain the data infrustructure. Once the narrative shifts to energy conservation/crisis reaction that will be the catalyst for true movement & it wont even take any convincing. Occam's razor 🤝
