I also appreciate Brett addressing the controversies that have followed him — the Netflix documentary, and the ongoing civil case in Mississippi. This is an important part of our conversation.

Beyond the headlines, it’s very clear that he hopes his family and his faith will be his lasting legacy.

-An epidural is done for disc/spinal canal issues or nerve impingement. Facet joint injections are different. And the facet joint “sprain” is probably just an attempt at describing degenerative changes in those joints (not uncommon in athletes)

-Prednisone is a type of oral corticosteroid. There aren’t multiple types of prednisone.

-you don’t just casually take an epidural injection before a game. You have it done multiple days prior under xray guidance by a specialist and it takes multiple days to take effect

-this is all very common and likely done in multiple players every week without us hearing boo about it
