Next time you visit D.C.’s World War II Memorial, find wartime graffiti etched in two places. Near the backside of the PA pillar is one “Kilroy Was Here” & the other opposite of it. U.S. soldiers carved it all over Europe & Asia as a sign of comfort & lightheartedness.
