I’m taking a risk. I’m going to write and draw for next year. 365 days of drawings and drawings.
It’s scary, I haven’t been known as a writer or artist. But, I get energy from it. Energy from creating.
Over the next year I’ll write and draw on many different ideas and concepts
Questions are a tool best used in the stillness and in the heat of a moment. Once questions are asked, the clarity begins. The signal in the noise starts to become clear.
Voices come in all directions. Pushing and pulling your attention up and down. Stretching you to the edges. Thinning your attention. twisting you in knots.
How do you know which way to go? Where do you put your attention? What to focus on?
Bring clarity to boundaries. Bring forth attention to things you want and dreams that you want to accomplish. To help fight the noise and focus on the signal of what you are meant to be doing.
The creative silo cities like LA, NYC and Nashville are pushing out creatives. Look to regional cities to be the haven and hubs for creatives in the future.
The beauty of the world is that it is big and vast. You can find the people that make space for you and you make space for them. To invite around a table or a fire.
It is a web of kindness, safety and compassion that is beautiful to see and interact with.
The benefit of finding a community where you can live life far outweighs the negativity. But it’s easy to get jaded. To push away from people because of past tiggers and traumas.
It's in communities that we learn more about ourselves and the world around us.
Yes, communities can become rigid. Toxic. And down right violent.
But, a community is at its best when the network of people are using their gifts and skills to pour into and to be poured into.
But, also have the kindness and empathy to hold space for you to come to that realization.
Community is something that we all need and want.
We are people that need people. We are hungry for the connections and meanings that interacting with people brings.
We all want to be a part of a group where we can be seen and heard. To joke and to laugh. To know that they got your back and you got theirs. A group that is safe to tell you when you have done something outside of your boundaries and values.
