@childers_cr@HockeyThinkTank@matty_r_thomas I know a couple D1 coaches personally. These coaches are fighting for their jobs. They need to win.
I'd think hockey is probably the only US collegiate sport where the largest elite talent pool resides outside the US.
FWIW, I support the legislation.
@Coach_Healy Footwork by 91 deserves it's own commentary. People will look at the puck, and his trap, and the shot, but it's his footwork that makes it happen.
@MacLennan28 Not a huge Andersson fan, but his stick detail is critical here.
Mostly extended at the 0:06 mark, and then at 0:07 he retracts mostly to deny the slip pass to the middle.
Lose that detail and he's vulnerable on the standup.
There is a better way.
Play the penalty shootout straight after 90 mins.
The winner of the shootout gets a 0.5 goal lead going into 30 mins of extra time.
Now the team that lost the pens has a chance to win and crucially, no matter score, there is one team that has to go for it at all times, making extra time fun too.
@brivael Love your content, but banning something never quite gives the results we hope for. A long campaign of proselytization with *hard* evidence is probably the best route.
@lanironman13@StarcasticR Seider (RHD) is a better fit than Reilly, and he drops $2M AAV.
Still love Harley, but Lundkvist (of all people) has to keep covering for his defensive lapses.
I prefer RHD, who defends better, and costs less.
@StarcasticR Pros:
Reilly - better suited for 2nd pair
Harley - can't get PP1 time
Net drop of $10M AAV (from marquee players)
Bork raise

How many superstars do the Canes have?
@seanshapiro I could see a qualifying offer from Dallas, no offer sheet, 3 months of quiet negotiations (standoff), and an October contract for 12.75 * 8 years (after Lybu and Myers are offloaded).
