I don't tweet much as it is, but as of today, all future social media posts can be found over on my bluesky.
Same username (AuthenticZac) there as everywhere else.
@RedeemerofD Hey! I'm glad to see there are still people who remember my old playthroughs.
Sadly, as much as I would love to return to wrap up old projects, mentally, I'm unable to bring the same level of upbeat energy that I once did. The last thing I want is content filled with negativity.
After 4 years of taking the #1 spot in my Playstation Wrap Up, Fall guys has finally been dethroned by Monster Hunter.
It's also been a very heavy souls-like year for me. Finally dipped my toes into the genre, and I've been hooked since (Nioh 2 and The Surge not listed).
Honestly, I had no intention of getting a PS5Pro. I had just hoped that the new version would mean a price drop for the base console. That $700 price point pretty much sinks that hope though.
@Square_UpFG Circumstantial;
Is someone patiently waiting for me to qualify at the top of the slide? Friendly drop/pass
Someone actively trying to grab me? YEET!
@Sn0wy_Lici0us Cautiously optimistic. I hope this isn't just a teaser for a remake of the original.
The franchise has also been through a lot these past 14 years, so if we do finally get the full party together, I wonder what form the gameplay will take (more like Darksiders 1 would be ideal)
@Evildeadfan102 Hey EDF! I appreciate the consideration, but I don't really have any way to properly stream these days.
I wish you all the success in your final event though!
Followup: Had to cut a larger piece off, remove the o-ring, and pry it from the inside, but finally got the blasted thing off.
Do NOT let your washing machine hoses get this bad.
Forget Bloodborne/Nioh. So far, my biggest challenge this year has been this seized washer hose.
Channel locks, no go
WD40, nothing
Vinegar+Baking soda, nada
PB Blaster, STILL wouldn't budge
Hacksaw cuts, how the hell is it still not coming off?!
Going to need to peel it away
Now that Nioh has been beaten, I might need to amend my comments on the difficulty. The first region is tough, but after you unlock some abilities & magic/ninjitsu, that difficulty curve plummets
Until post-game, where it spikes back (Seriously, f*** you, 'Return of the Gourd')
Okay, seriously, where was this challenge in Bloodborne? Excluding Chalice Dungeons, the only 2 bosses that took 5+ attempts were the Blood Starved Beast (10ish) and the Orphan of Kos (6)
Just in Nioh's first region alone, Nue took 30+ attempts, and Tachibana Muneshige about 20
So, I'm coming to realize that Nioh is on completely different level of difficulty than Bloodborne/Elden Ring
30+ tries on Nue before I finally took him down. Maybe I'd have done it faster if I stuck with my axe? Still deciding which style I prefer for Nioh (Quick vs Powerful)
Still feeling the Souls-like itch after Bloodborne, but with 3 weeks to go until the Elden Ring DLC drops, I thought I'd try out Nioh.
I've noticed from all these games, I can play poorly for the first half of a boss fight, but take away my health potions, and I enter a zen mode
Now that Bloodborne has been platinum'ed, I can safely say that the Pthumerian Descendant was the toughest challenge in that game, by far. Phase 1 was fine, but once he hit Turbo mode, it was a different beast all together
Murder Grandpa had no right being that spry
Putting Elden Ring on hold until the DLC, and I can't help but think ER prepared me for Bloodborne (Parry to win!)
Cleric Beast - First try
Gascoigne - Second try
Blood Stained Beast - ... Let's move on
Vicar Amelia - First try
Had more trouble with the sniper than most bosses
So proud of my niece. After showing her a couple Elden Ring boss fights, she decided to start playing a soulslike of her own - Bloodborne.
They grow up so fast π₯²
