I just finished a historical fantasy book, and I think it’s the real deal! It’s been easily 5 years in the making. It’s focused on Pope Pius II and Vlad the Impaler. The title is The Battle, and the world-wide release will be later this year. Stay tuned!

But…. If you love doing it, if it makes you feel or think better, if it makes your ride through life better, even if it never makes you a dime, that’s success! Don’t you dare stop. Rewrite, write more, write differently, and find more success! Define what that is to you!

I see posts about what success is for a writer. Will you reach it? Should you quit? Unpopular opinion: Quitting is an option. If it no longer brings you joy and if it’s an investment you can’t make or justify, apply your time and energy elsewhere.
