Eph 2:10 says we’re created for good works that God prepared in advance for us to do. If your good works include writing, it’s time to start!
Are You Ready? Probably not, but that doesn’t matter. Let’s jump in together.

@AlyssaMatesic Great advice! I’m guest posting for KM Weiland on this topic Monday (6/29). I’ve got a “seasonal” concept that sets a sane framework that won’t burn you out but also won’t let you quit. Hopefully we limit the crash outs.
Brian Tracy on how to change your life:
"Get up early enough to read for 30-60 minutes in something that is motivational, something that is inspirational, something that is educational. Something that uplifts your mind, what we call mental protein."
Three of my subscribers sent me their manuscripts for critique… and they ALL make the same mistake:
Shallow POV.
It's an issue I see in 50% of the manuscripts I edit, and if your readers keep saying they "just aren't connecting" with your story, you're probably making it too.

@SirArminius Scrivener, mainly for the organization. Novels reach a point where, for me, Word just doesn’t lend itself to keeping things straight. I start losing my mind. Very pleased with Scrivener. Highly recommend.
"The man on the middle cross said I could come..."
This might be the best 3-minutes of preaching I've *EVER* seen. If you don't feel this in your soul, you need to check your pulse 😭🙌
@SDDonovan I just recorded a piece about this for my author club on Patreon. I take a Christian view so, as I mention here, it’s a resounding yes for me.
BREAKING — For the first time in a decade, over HALF of GenZ Males AND Millennial Males are reading the bible weekly.
Bible sales are SKYROCKETED in every single demographic in 2025.
Incredible.🙏
"If we start something, we see it the entire way through. At the end of it, even if you don't like it to the highest level, you know that you put your time, energy into something that you're at least proud." - Kevin Hart
@LeannaRapier Not the hero, exactly, but instantly made it dual POV instead of “just the villain.” We’ll see how the rest of the series plays out, but I’ve never been so taken with a character. It’s like she wrote herself and I’m just honored to know her.
@SDDonovan This is my jam!

It’s a DAILY thing. For me, it’s remembering why you’re doing it and creating habits to support it. And whatever you do, write SOMETHING, even if it’s 250 words. Do that daily and you hit 90k by year end
@SDDonovan Mine is mainly a God thing (See Eph 2:10), but also the legacy. Another part is showing my boys that you can do something significant when no one is paying you or checking up on you. It’s just you & God in the trenches, like Paul writing letters from prison.
